Every ride tells a story. Some are about the roads we conquer, others about the memories we create. Our 83rd ride as Knight Ryders from Chennai to Thekkady had a bit of everything: rain-soaked roads, roaring Hondas, hills wrapped in mist, and moments that will echo in our memories for a long time.

As we edge closer to completing four years as a club, this ride felt like a reminder of how far we’ve come 83 rides strong, bonded by throttle, trust, and travel.

Day 1 – The Roar Begins

We flagged off from Chennai at 5 AM sharp on Thursday, July 24th, engines revving in sync. The highway welcomed us with open arms, and the ride was smooth with ample pitstops breakfast, lunch, and chai breaks. Conversations flowed as fast as the bikes, and the weather was just right.

But the real adventure began after Theni. The rain gods decided to ride along — steady showers hit us as we approached the hills. Rain liners on, visors fogged, roads gleaming it was everything a true rider lives for. We rode through it all and finally reached our destination Moonlight Retreat Homestay in Thekkady. Warm snacks, hot tea, early dinner, and deeper sleep. The body was tired, but the heart was full.

Day 2 – Vagamon Vibes

Friday morning, we set off to Vagamon and that’s when things turned magical. Chill winds, misty hills, light drizzle, and a road that twists and turns like a dream. The scenery, the silence, the laughter everything hit different up there.

By 5 PM, we were back at the homestay, still high on the Vagamon vibes. The evening turned into a storytelling session from ride memories to silly incidents. And then came the surprise…

We realized (with guilt and laughter) that we completely missed wishing our Captain on his birthday which had actually passed on June 24th! So, like true brothers, we celebrated it on July 25th — a month late, but with full-on fun, jokes, and cake. That moment? Pure Knight Ryders style.

Day 3 – Culture & Spices

Saturday evening, we attended a Kalari performance if you’re ever in Thekkady, this is a must-see. Raw, powerful, and beautifully intense. After that, it was time for a little shopping Thekkady is famous for its spices, and we didn’t leave empty-handed.

Picked up some fresh black pepper (melagu) and cardamom (elakkai) and a few other essentials no biker’s kitchen should be without!

Day 4 – The Return Run

Sunday morning, we hit the road by 6 AM and rode back to Chennai, reaching home by 5 PM. Long hours on the saddle, but not a single moment we’d trade.
